GapX

GapX is a towed short gap crossing for a wide variety of frontline and logistics vehicles. The system is specifically designed with “all arms users”  in mind  reducing the requirement for larger bridging systems and increasing the opportunities for manoeuvre.

GapX challenges the zeitgeist of highly specialised bridging vehicles and systems, that are extremely vulnerable on the modern, transparent battlefield. When deployed in the assault configuration it clears the way to make multiple simultaneous breaches affordable. With a capability that is rapidly replaceable and repairable in theatre. 

GapX is designed for a 4×2 dry or wet gap;  crossing vehicles up to 40 tons, tracked or wheeled, it can be configured in an assault configuration and deployed under armour. The all electric linear actuators and onboard battery system deploy the bridge and disconnect the drawbar meaning very fast deployment and simple recovery for re use. 

High mobility vehicles allow a military to be where the enemy least expects it. “Go anywhere” vehicles often can’t because of terrain features either man made or natural.
