The British Army values freedom of manoeuvre on the battlefield and categories impassable barriers as “gaps”. A short gap (wet or dry) is an obstacle that can stop even the most determined tank and the crossing of these gaps can be an all arms joint manoeuvre of incredible complexity. B+SL is thrilled to announce the start of work on their DASA funded solution the Gap-X. The concept was inspired by a DASA innovation focus area and will be demonstrated at TRL 6 in 2023 where we hope to offer it to the UK MoD in support of the new Boxer battlegroups.
